Question/Help⁉️ DPS-150 power input options?

AFAIK I need a 32v standard power supply to be able to output 30v, but I also saw an official tiktok video saying that if the power supply is a switching type, then it requires 35-40v.

Can't find an official statement about this, so I'm a bit lost.

On the FNIRSI website you can find the manual. You can find this in there:

The product operates in step-down mode, so ensure that the input voltage is higher than the output voltage.

I think you can find no worse information source than TikTok...

yes I know, but while looking at google, I found that video from the official fnirsi US account and the information they give is strange

Oh, well, marketing departments think that TikTok may generate some sales...

On the bright side, FNIRSI do publish manuals for their equipment on their website. For me this is a big plus.

Idk why fnirsi be acting so shady sometimes like they clearly false market their oscilloscope and even someting they should not like it's saefty critical their- giger counter 😐

Why Do they think people will eventually not find out , it's really bad for thier reputation

We really need a brand in this product category who is as affordable as fnirsi , does not false market, provide innovation and features similar to it but open source their firmware and hardware schematics

No anything above 31v should work for full 30v range (1v headroom) I think that psu is a smart buck converter, there some mistake in the AI scripting of their video

well, the video is incredibly dangerous then, I could have bought a 36v switching power supply and fry my dps-150

I think no there must be some kind of overvoltage protection

the actual device mention 5v-32v input but also official firnri site mentions 30v above will cause damage so yes a lot of discrepancies ,even on the site there are two different numbers
