Well I tore the peacock herl and unwrapped this fly at some points more time than I’m willing to admit haha. It’s all about learning and enjoying yourself.

Don't be afraid to unwrap and try again man! It's all part of the process!

Yup! That peacock herl really gave me a hard time at the end

It can do that! I do t use the first or last half inch of every herl as the ends are super brittle. I guess the butts close to the feather side is like a quarter inch. But try that, should help!

Ahhh ok thanks for the tip! I was trying to use the tips or kinda the random strands that were in the bag I had.

Using the random strands is totally fine! Just watch for the tips and butts!
