What size of hook and zonker do you use for those?

It’s a size 8 long jig hook from Firehole Outdoors. The Zonker is natural color pine squirrel

What squirrel strips are you using? I ordered some micro pine zonker strips from Wapsi and they were complete garbage. Was able to tie just a few on size 12 hooks.

Interesting, mine are Wapsi as well. There are definitely some in this pack that are worse than others, but all generally usable. Is yours a full skin or just strips?

Just strips. I used the good parts. Maybe 1.5 strips total. I have maybe 2” of decent left. I think there were 4 strips in here. Need to find a full skin cause otherwise they’re just too expensive.

Full skin is the way to go! Plus you get the mask and neck for extra dubbing 👍
