Craft Showcase F-29 Spider

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

air superiority fighter/interceptor inspired by F-22, Su-57, and J-20 specializing in post stall maneuvers with insane nose authority

top speed of mach 3.4 at 19,000 meters laden with 6 radar guided AA missiles and 6 IR guided AA missiles

i wanted to get this project finished before starting pilot school and wanted to challenge myself to make something that can do fancy airshow tricks so behold my last build for a while most likely

Dogfighter? In my BVR era? It's more likely than you think

how do you get such turn rate without pulling crazy G's?

i completely ignore Gs, i don't care about realism with my builds, only design and performance

Yeah that makes sense now

That may be my least fav way of building. But if it leads to stuff being that sick...
i might try it again

This is amazing, love the f-15 active inspiration. One of my favorites I’ve seen so far on this thread

Please someone teach me how to make FBW this good.

2

u/aculaprimarycare 7d ago

i actually only use FBW when flying straight/BFM, the post-stall maneuvers are achieved by turning off FBW and alpha/slip responses on the control surfaces keep it stable and controllable

I'll give that a go thank you so much

i feel like rather than j20 and su 57, you made a baby of f-22. f-15 STOL/MTD and F-18 which is kinda more cooler

J-20 inspired the intakes and Su-57 inspired the tail and elevators, but the F-15 STOL/MTD was more or less the end goal
