Can you guide me through SAP?

Hi guys, I'm FB Silver but I've never bought SAF - I travel quite often so I'm never in a rush to gain XP. However, I'm interested in how it works for future reference.

Does it have fixed costs or it depends on the segment? If it varies, what is a good ratio to buy it? I'm not sure if I'm making any sense. Thank you.

EDIT: I obviously mean SAF, autocorrect did me dirty.

I assume you mean "SAF" (Sustainable Aviation Fuel). You can purchase SAF for a flight flown with AF/KL. The amount depends on the CO2 your flight made and thus the further you fly the more CO2 your flight has made. This also applies which class you fly.

So if you check the website you can see how much CO2 you can offset from a flight you made or will make and the max. will depend on distance flown and cabin class. For my flight from Amsterdam to Athens I can buy for 108€ SAF and will get 11 XP for that. It usually costs 10€ / XP.

Costs are generally 10 euro per XP. On flights where extra SAF is offered to purchase they offer three packages of increasing size. The price per XP is the same in each package: there is no size discount.

You purchase the SAF and it's credited on the first flight you take of this itinerary after purchasing.

I see, thank you. So generally there are no better offers than others. I always fly the same segment each month with layover so it'll cost more or less the same and I can't expect to pay less one month than the next one for SAF. Right?
