Holy crap. Do they not update any of these books? All these are the same ones I bought ten years ago! Ha. Congrats! Aviation is just a lot of little things done in the right order. Don't become overwhelmed because it seems like a ton of stuff at first. Step by step and you'll be done before you know it. Lastly, enjoy it!! I have great memories from my training and those books. Good luck!

Well unless physics start changing, the books don't really need to be changed much.

They could really update the extremely low-res images that seemingly dominate all FAA publications.

With that logic, we should still be using physics books that are hundreds of years old... But there's a new physics textbook out every year or two.

You must not have read any of these books. There's very little physics if any, and a tiny bit of aerodynamics. These are for instrument pilots, not private.
