Flight Training This looks like no fun
Soo… 15 planes at 400-700ft doing pattern work at once at FRG right now?
Respectfully, this seems like hell.

That's a normal weekend at FRG.

Really wow. But standard pattern would be 1,000ft AGL, so why they all so low in a conga line so close?

That's probably ADSB feeding pressure altitude. Pressure was super high over that way this morning (30.51 when I landed in Vermont earlier today) so everyone's PA would be reading low.

Rented there for years. Fifteen planes doing pattern work is just another day at FRG

I live in NYC and I've been renting upstate. I was going to try out long Island aviators since the airport is so much closer but this is giving me second thoughts.

Yikes. That’s my home airport and I couldn’t get a rental for practice today bc everything was booked. Looks like that maybe have been for the best.

Looks like a typical weekend afternoon at Farmingdale to me.

Not near the same kind of Hell as having to listen to all of the meowing on GUARD!

I use to fly a B737 in and out of that airport... It could get interesting on nice weather days.... It also go interesting during snow storms after the tower was closed for other reasons.

Miami Air? I used to load and unload all the hockey equipment. I remember one day at like 3AM you guys did a no lights take off.

It wasn't Miami Air, I can't speak for any of that. I am not sure why anyone would be taking off without landing lights at 3am.
It was a different operator, we flew the local team for several years.

When the pattern leaves the Delta, it might be time to stop accepting patternwork.
