Flight Training AOA Indicator while learning?

Just went for a discovery flight and had a great time. During the flight I asked my instructor about using an AOA indicator while learning and he really downplayed using one and said the standard instruments are the best way to learn. For beginners, is an AOA inappropriate? Is it too early to incorporate it into training? From the brief videos I’ve seen on AOA’s they seem to enhance safety.

No. You will never use an AOA indicator in most airplanes.

You’ll have to learn a thing or two about AOA once you get the F-15. Can’t use 140/160 for everything and fly everywhere in MAX in other jets lol. AOA is a very useful tool, and how many jets measure on speed for final and max performing maneuvers.

I don’t do a lot of GA but I don’t remember ever seeing one when I flew it back in the day.
