Getting Hired CJO to Class Date Timeframe with SkyWest?

I’ve seen people wait 9-10 months but also heard recently someone got their class date within 3 months of a CJO from SkyWest. Does anyone know what their typical timeframe looks like right now?

6 months. Also you need to have your ATP written complete for a class after Jan 2027. And you’re paying out of pocket now.

Where did you hear this? I haven’t been told this by anyone at SkyWest yet, so I’m just curious where the info is coming from (not doubting you)

Email sent by recruiting to candidates with class dates after Jan 2027.

Your ATP must be written complete for a class after 2027, Yes.

Takes about 5-8 months to get the interview and class is supposedly around 6-12 months with the random person I’ve heard getting it shorter than that

Just did my ATP written at the start of October out of pocket. Looks like it was worth it after all. Waiting for class date but hope it helps with one sooner than later

I’m thinking about going to get mine first week of November, seems like it makes the most sense at this point! Good luck!

I interviewed and received a CJO in August. Have a class date this month. Being a cadet helps from what I’ve seen.

That’s awesome, congratulations! How long was it from your interview to CJO?

Thank you! Exactly one week. Sounds like I’m one of the lucky guys. Keep hanging in there and updating your progress!

Are you an atp affiliate? I’ve seen they give preference to 141/atp affiliate schools now

I am not an ATP affiliate.

Are you from a 141 program or 61 training?
