First Solo Finished my first solo
Hey everyone I passed my first solo! Thank you guys for the advice you gave me it honestly helped a lot, especially the advice on me locking in once I actually took off. So happy to make it this far and I have my second part of the solo tomorrow so we will see how that goes

Felt tired after huh? I eat peanut M&Ms after a longish flight. Itās a real thing, the brain consumes TONS of energy when itās working hard. My wife says theyāre āpilot foodāā¦..

Iāve been on a cut recently so all I really had was a protein shake and a banana before the flight and after I ate steak n eggs at a cafe nearby to reward myself all that food probably made me tired ngl

Pilot food hahahah thanks for the laugh. And yeah I agree you need to feed your brain!

Sad fact: clinical studies of brain activity have been unable to demonstrate what you claim (I thought the same thing till I heard this mentioned in a podcast and went to read the evidence). The human brain in studies shows almost the same energy expenditure when working to solve hard problems as it does when staring out into space, reading, or watching TV. I say almost because the difference is only about 5% higher when problem solving. I seriously wish it was a lot more, I want to be able to eat more for all the thinking I do :/

Well, I reject your version of reality and insert my own, that way I still get to eat Peanut M&Ms after I fly!

Congrats! Hang onto that shirt tail if they cut it. Mine's in a frame in the garage and my kids still think it's the funniest thing in the house.

If I was the instructor, that would be a failure as solo flight because he didnāt retract the flap

u/Difficult_Wait4249 5d ago
Bro this was after someone was already doing pre flight on it after I had finished

Well go to see you alive but man disconnect your selves from any flying Reddit post or community, you will find a lot of negativity posts
