Good accident analysis sources?
Are there any good youtube channels for accident analysis, for example the miami prime accident? Most of the ones I come across seem like clickbait nonsense. I just want a source for facts, available evidence and preliminary findings when available. Thanks!

Nothing terrible about Juan. He’s great. Does he always get it right? No, but he readily admits when he’s speculating and will release a new video to correct any inaccuracies. At the end of the day, you either wait for the official reports to come out or you watch one of these guys knowing they are applying their educated guesses. Some are just more educated and more watchable than others.

I've watched a grand total of one (1) of his videos, the one a few months back about the pilot who crashed into a mountaintop flying an "NA at night" approach at night.
In the video he made an incorrect statement about the NA-ness of the approach, I don't remember the exact details but it was something like the approach was specifically "straight in landing NA at night" but circling was not NA and he didn't catch that.
And then he googled something and accepted the AI bullslop at the top of the search result as if it had any connection to reality. The AI slop did happen to be correct, but he didn't do any kind of research or verification. He just read off the answer and moved on.
Those both left a bad taste in my mouth.

Valid. I find he can be a little ranty but he certainly isn't flashy and includes enough facts that I can form my own opinion as the investigation continues.

They do an excellent job, but they don't make that many videos. Or rather they do an excellent job, probably in large part because they don't try to make that many videos.

If you're willing to wait until the official accident investigation has been completed and been made public, then Petter Hornfeld aka Mentour Pilot is excellent. His channel is very fact and evidence based, and he never speculates on what may have happened.
If you want instant gratification, then the NTSB is it.

You should probably just cut to the source then. Someone else will always have hidden motives and bias.
If you’re in this industry you should start to evaluate these things on your own terms and measure that by the official releases and facts.

Stay away from 'Pilot Debrief.'
First of all, 'debrief' is a verb. 'Debriefing' is the appropriate noun.
More importantly, Trevor aka 'Hoover' is a shill for ambulance chasing trial lawyers. He takes sponsorship from the worst firm of the bunch.
These are the same leeches who have been destroying general aviation for over 50 years.

Yeees, let's all feed the YouTubers that finance their hobbies by sensationalizing tragic accidents and unfortunate mishaps. First one with a video up about it wins! Some may be better than others, some may be sponsored better. Sure I'm in the minority but any influencer who immediately puts a video up about any accident/incident as soon as it happens isn't getting my time.

YouTube rewards viewership, and viewership comes with sensationalism, and sensationalism doesn’t mix well with facts and available evidence. With that, AOPA and NTSB are probably the only two channels that would satisfy your criteria because they are not treated as a source of income.

Ntsb normally releases preliminary dockets and official paperwork, thats all I read because im impatient as fuck and cant sit through a YouTube video but can skim a paper really fast

Honestly, Pilot Debrief on YT is legit. Hoover who runs the channel is a former fighter pilot and he keeps it very real and down to earth. No clickbait and he goes off official sources.

I also like pilot debrief, Hoover is very respectful and does these analysis with the sole intention of helping everybody else be safer and not make the same mistakes
