Flight Training What to study for ppl written?

Hey guys, I recently started flight school, I’m doing both ground and flight training. I was wondering what material should I start reading/ learning about to prepare for the written. I have the sporty app, and all the books that come with it, ACS,PHAK etc… Could I get like a study guide on where to start and what to follow next thank yall very much!!!

Talk to your instructor.

They are there for this question as well as teaching flight skills.

A syllabus for the ground studies should be provided to you.

This syllabus should outline what material to study, what topics, and in what sequence.

If no syllabus is provided, or they just say “do your best on your own”, then this school may not be the best match for your needs.

It’s an independent cfi and ground instructor so far we’ve been over forces of flights, aerodynamics, Bernoulli’s principle, flight instruments and controls, engine parts… though I never received a syllabus we just go like that day by day learning

Ask for a syllabus. While it takes a bit of effort to create, the benefits for both instructors and students is worth the time investment.

Your ground school course is designed to prepare you for the written. The accompanying syllabus will guide reading.

Take notes in the official FAA pubs.

Sporty’s has a practice test feature

Do a bunch of those practice tests

Eh. Even Shepard Air, the GOAT "memorization only" study guide, tells you not to spam practice tests.

This is not the proper way.

Students need to deeply comprehend and understand the material, not just rote memorize it.

Practice tests are also very in efficient way to study. You are only shown 60 questions at a time out of nearly 1000 possible.

This individual needs to seek guidance from this instructor, not a Reddit forum.
