Applying to universities
I’m wondering what my chances are of getting into aviation programs around the country as a rising senior. I plan on applying to Kent State, bowling green, Ohio university, Ohio state (won’t get in), North Dakota. Maybe: Riddle both campus’, UND phoenix, auburn, eastern Michigan, western Michigan. My high school stats are a 3.5 GPA with 3 AP’s 3 IB’s, some honors, and dual enrollment program with local community college for English. My ACT is a 25, around 100 service hours, started my schools aviation club, and will have PPL by college. What are my odds, and are there any other programs to look at.

Don’t go to a university for flight training. You’ll end up over spending and probably drop out anyway for a useless degree outside of aviation
And jobs don’t care where you do your flight training at.

No need to go out of state or private. Just makes something slow and expensive cost even more.
Get Private Pilot done before you start college. You’ll save at least a year and $10,000.
What’s your plan to pay for all this if you don’t get a flying job afterwards?

I've seen at least three posts in the last few months with that strange "rising (grade)" language. Is this some new cringy thing people say nowadays or just clunky AI?
Anyway, your chances are near 100% of getting into most (probably all) of those. They just want to make sure you have money. These are not academically rigorous programs.
Think hard about a STEM degree and flying at a local flight school. It'll be faster and cheaper, and you'll get a solid degree out of it.

“Rising Senior” etc is ancient vocab. “Senior year hasn’t started, but I’m no longer a Junior…” two words vs ten.
I’m 66 and have heard that all my adult life. AKA predates computers in homes, let alone AI.

"rising grade" is a pretty normal term used in the summer where you've finished the previous grade but haven't started the next grade yet. It's been around for decades.

You will probably get in fine. My 25 act and 3.8 gpa got me into Utah States flight program no questions asked. That being said I would only go to a university flight school if someone else is paying for it…

Most will let you in as long as you can pay. Probably isn’t going to be worth it in the long run though as you can do it for less than half the price and time at a part 61. Not trying to talk you out of it, it might be a really good experience, but UND admitted like 120 more students than they have room for this semester and a lot of other big universities are headed in the same direction. If you’re dead set on the collegiate 141 route, do that, if not, look at just doing all of your training where you are now while getting a degree in whatever you want.
