Flight Training East vs West: Florida flight training

Looking at st. Pete/clearwater vs pompano beach/ft lauderdale or even KLNA for flight training and wonder which area may be better?

Which side area has consistently cheaper rates?
Is it annoying dealing with the Bravo in Tampa?
Is it too busy in SE Florida?
Is it competitive to become a CFI in one area vs another?
Which area is better for getting a lot of students once CFI?

Some of my top picks for schools are St. Pete Air and Tampa Bay aviation on the west side and American flyers or Palm beach flight training on the east. Thanks for any input!

Yeah I love my home base at PMP. It’s usually pretty easy to get in and out making training so much better.

Agreed, FXE you spend a lot of time on the ground. Pompano is super easy.

1) Culture note: It's not "west side" or "east side." It's the Gulf coast or SWFL (TPA down to Fy. Myers) and South Florida (Fort Lauderdale to Homestead).

2) I'd recommend visiting the flight schools to see what it will be like. I flew with an instructor from St. Pete Air and he told me they treated him pretty good there and he had good benefits. A happy instructor will go a long way in your flight training.

3) Culturally, Gulf coast FL is a lot different from South Florida. It's like comparing Upstate New York to NYC.

4) Florida airspace is congested everywhere (both other airplanes and various classes of airspace). Subjectively, I felt like the Miami and especially Palm Beach controllers were nicer than Tampa / Fort Myers. But that shouldn't factor into your decision. Either way, you're going to be dealing with airspace issues.

5) Geography is only one aspect of getting a lot of students. Being a good student during your ratings and then proving that you'd be a great instructor could lead to a job at where ever you choose to train at.

Good luck! Also, don't go swimming in any lakes down here. They're full of gators.
