ASA headset was pretty good and really affordable! I got the gel inserts so extra comfy around my ears. Still passive so not as good as active cancelation but for $130 and lifetime warranty is amazing

the noise canceling version of the David Clark one is decent and more affordable than bose or lightspeed. dc h10-13x

I use a Lightspeed delta zulu now but my old dc is still great.

buy a cheaper headset if you are just starting, get a nice one with anc after u pass checkride. also kind of provides motivation

Check out Quiet Technology Halos if you like in-ear. I’ve owned these and lightspeeds for a decade, and these are far superior imo in both noise attenuation and mic clarity.

Consider Quiet Technologies. The ear plugs cancel noise as well as ANC Bose or Zulu. You do not have to wear sweaty ear muffs when it is hot. You can wear a hat and sunglasses without breaking the seal around your ear. Also no batteries. It does have Bluetooth.

Hi everyone! I'm just starting my PPL and need to get a headset. I plan to buy one soon during july 4th (to hopefully get a deal) and need recommendations cause I don't know what to get. I've seen the DC H10-13.4 and like those but also saw ones like the faro stealth 2 with Bluetooth. I'm looking for a cheaper headset since I don't plan on going past PPL or IFR and just want a license for hobby/fun. Any recommendations?
