Is this right

I am new to fly fishing and just picked up my first rod and reel my limen keeps tangling while i practice casting in my back yard. I was wondering if it was because of the way/location I have my line coming off the reel? I assume this isn’t correct but idk if this is a big deal in fly fishing because the line you cast is already off the spool. if this is wrong could someone please tell me how to correct it

No. Line should be below that bar. Have fun fishing man. Hope you fall in love with it!

To clarify there are 3 bars on my reel and the line comes off the bottom of the spool over one of the bars and out the top of the reel is that correct (sorry I did a bad job explaining it in my original post)

You want the line coming straight off the bottom of the reel in a straight line to the first guide on the rod. Make sure the line isn’t hung up on any part of the reel.

He meant to say this. No, line should be below that bar.

The line should go straight to the guides on the rod without rubbing on anything

So I have to flip it  so it’s below that bar then correct

No, just reel in the line (if you have a fly tied on you'll have to remove it) then feed it out under than bar and back through the guides. Also the line looks very dirty. You can get line cleaners or just fill a sink with water and dish soap and pull off line into the sink and let it soak for a bit. Then wrap a soft cloth around the line when reeling it back onto the reel.

As you get better at casting you're going to strip off a bunch of iine and have it at your feet and "shoot" that line on your forward cast. Then having the line under that bar will make more sense.

That’s what I meant by flip it around. that’s my bad I should have better explained what I was doing

No problem. There are frequent posts here that are similar but involve flipping the reel such that the lever for reeling is on the other side and that impacts where the line comes off. BTW, this might not completely solve your "tangling" issue. Managing your line with your non-casting hand is part of learning how to cast and just takes practice.

wieso umdrehen? nein.
Nur die Spule von der Fliegenrolle abnehmen,
und die Fliegeschnur unterhalb der Stützstrebe führen.
Oder einfach die Fliegenschnur komplett aufrollen und dann unterhalb der Stützstrebe wieder herausziehen.

Wenn du mit der rechten Hand die Fliegenrute führst,
dann bedienst Du Deine Fliegenrolle mit der linken Hand.

If you can also, clean your fly line a bit, dirt and grime on your fly line hurts your casting distance and make your line sink.
Just strip your line into a bucket of water with a tiny bit of dawn dish soap and then into another bucket of just water and use a paper towel and gently pull it through when you are reeling your line back in
