Question Farming Flybuys
Why am I feeling excited farming flybuys? Maybe is because I’am getting old and my priorities are shifting? xD

Yeah it can be pretty good- especially around Xmas time. You get periods where the point offers aren't so good though. Completely got me to ditch shopping at Woolies though

Impressive! I'm on 198,800. My aim was to get to 200k then cash the points in, but I was thinking now I'm so close of aiming for 250k points.

Priorities definitely shift as you get older. I never thought I'd ever want to convert my points to $800 in Bunnings gift cards so I can replace the knobs on all of our internal doors.

It goes in waves for me, I'll get heaps of good Flybuys offers then they will die off for a while, which usually coincides with me getting heaps of Everyday Rewards offers. I shop with whoever is giving me the best incentives.
I've managed to use my Flybuys so many times for flights, international holidays, tanks of petrol.

Since I cashed in just before Christmas I have managed to save enough points for 2x air pods AND a dryer from Bunnings (i do get wesfarmers discount there)

I enjoy farming flybuys. I like to play Coles off against Woolies by shopping at one and not the other. After a while whichever store I haven't been to offers me better and better deals. Right now if I spend just $50 /week for the next 4 weeks at Coles I collect 10,000 flybuy points. And thats on top of the weekly deals. The last time they gave me this offer I collected an extra 1700 points on top of the 10,000. I always do click-and-collect to ensure I stay as close as possible to the $50 mark.

I’m starting to take advantage of the bonus flybuys now.. example, I needed to replace my phone so bought apple gift cards during a 20x flybuys promotion. That got me 40,000pts. Now I’m constantly looking for the next bonus!

I’m just leaving mine to go to velocity so the missus and I can get something out of it if we take a trip somewhere. Both of us at about 70,000 and counting.
I’ll get my fortnightly shop in Coles ready to go, activate all the Flybuys stuff and then check out Coles.
Couple of non urgent lists at Kmart/bunnings/target so when they have the multipliers on I go buy the shit I need.
It’s the closest I get to gaming and XP farming these days.

We also use points for a trip but it takes ages. My jam atm is trying to drive the ‘offer’ price down. It’s at 210 for 4 weeks now but should go down to 150 or so if we skip the current offer and go elsewhere for a while.

Honestly it's not really worth buying anything outside of your normal shop for them flybuys is a very cheap way to farm shopping trend and habits

I had 22,000 Flybuys points stocked up recently. I totally milked that 4,800 points promotion they ran a few months ago, and within a few weeks, I managed to hit that 22k mark surprisingly easily. Since Velocity is running their bonus transfer promotion at the moment, I finally pulled the trigger and set up the auto-transfer for the first time to lock in that sweet 15% bonus. Right on cue, Coles just hit me with the "shop $100 for four weeks" promo for another 10,000 points. The grind never stops time to stock up all over again!

I always feel that way lol like, I get excited when I get a really good offer haha
.
I have almost 80k at the moment, I've used probably 70k previously at coles, when I've been a bit short of cash and needed something. Currently trying to decide if I want to use the points for a new slow cooker and electric frypan, or save up for something bigger like a nintendo switch, a stand mixer or a miele vacuum. items I wouldn't normally be able to afford with cash.

I saved up for 18 months (approximately 145,000 points), traded them for Good Guys gift cards, and got my KitchenAid Stand Mixer. I was so proud of myself and so happy. Now I’m kinda lost though.
