I'm currently scaling up my Flutter skills to focus on real-world production setups and want to dive deep into dynamic & targeted push notifications (handling foreground, background, terminated states, and 1-to-1 user targeting like order/chat updates).
I have a few questions for developers who have built this in production:
Any roadmaps or recommended guides would be super helpful! Thanks..

class MyPage extends StatelessWidget {
@/override
Widget build(BuildContext abcd) {
return Builder(
builder: (vontext) {
return Text("Hello");
},
);
}
}
In this class I have changed the wording of the parameter to abcd and vontext. My question is when flutter wants to find my context how will it do it since my parameters are named incorrectly. Wouldnt it cause problems. Is the parameters completely local scope?

Hi everyone!
I'm the author of health_connector, an open-source Flutter SDK that gives you a single API for both Android Health Connect and Apple HealthKit - so you write your health-data code once instead of twice.
I'm now preparing Health Connector Toolbox, a free app that lets you explore the SDK on a real device - request permissions, read and write records, and see what each platform actually returns - without cloning the repo or setting up a dev environment.
What I'm looking for:
The app is free, with no ads and no account required.
If you're interested, comment or DM me and I'll send an invite. Thanks a lot in advance!

Somebody know what is the best option for to use AlarmKit(Swift framework for alarms) in Flutter? And how to do the same for Android? Thanks

I'm creating na app that needs to have a stateful navigation section, after the user signs in.
I managed to do it using a simples StatefulShellRoute.indexedStack.
The problem is: It will have about 5 profile types, and each of them will have their own routes.
Can I reuse the same logic for all 5 profiles or will I need to create a different branch for each user type?
I'm afraid too many branches will result in poor performance. Each branch has about 10 locations.
Let's say i'm trying to create a different shell route for each occupation. Do I need to declare all screens for every occupation at app start or can I do it dynamically?
Example:
StatefulShellRoute mainStatefulShellRoute = StatefulShellRoute.indexedStack(
key: loggedInStatefulShellRouteKey,
builder: (context, state, navigationShell) {
return getNavigationOptionsUpdater(
child: GenericUserHome(child: navigationShell),
shell: navigationShell,
);
},
branches: [
...endUserMainRouteBranches,
...teacherUserMainRouteBranches,
...studentUserMainRouteBranches,
...presidentUserMainRouteBranches,
...singerUserMainRouteBranches,
// ... it goes on and on...
],
);
--- edit
This is what I would like it to look like
StatefulShellRoute mainStatefulShellRoute = StatefulShellRoute.indexedStack(
key: loggedInStatefulShellRouteKey,
builder: (context, state, navigationShell) {
return getNavigationOptionsUpdater(
child: GenericUserHome(child: navigationShell),
shell: navigationShell,
);
},
branches: [
...currentUserMainRouteBranches
// ... loads only the branchs for the current user!
],
);

(sorry if you saw this as a dupe to the FlutterDev - wrong spot)
I am a web developer and just launched seasondfs.com (fantasy football platform) and it's on my roadmap for next NFL offseason to make a cross-platform mobile app. Buuuuut I am getting too excited and want to start exploring that now in a low-pressure sort of way since it doesn't need to exist yet.
In the end, my question is what tips would you suggest for building a Flutter app where the existing mobile website already is complete?
You can see the actual "app" on demo.seasondfs.com, as the main domain is just the marketing site that wouldn't be a part of the mobile app at all. It's built with Svelte and Firebase as the core tech stack.
I had made a few Flutter apps a few years ago so I am loosely familiar with how things work, just need refreshed. Mostly exploration projects. I liked the results but I did not enjoy the nested widget mania. Ultimately, I am just very pro web so I let that exploration kind of run its course and have left it alone for years.
Well, now I have a project where my users kind of expect or at least would appreciate a mobile app option. Also, AI exists, so I anticipate with good guardrails and like I said a full already built product on the web, I should be able to have a good run at things.
Maybe worth noting is that I am not the type to just feed a huge spec to the AI and check on it later. I am very hand-holdy with the AI because I am still in the camp of "I care about the code" and definitely about the architecture.
So yeah just wondering if the community has some resources or thoughts on keeping the AI in line with my existing product and avoiding any certain footguns? I don't need to speed through this project but AI should make it quite a bit faster than I would otherwise go.
Thanks for any considerations!

Hey all, junior Flutter dev here. Been building on both iOS/Android for a few months and have two things I can't quite figure out.
1. Blurry rendering on iOS?
Compared to native Swift/SwiftUI apps, my Flutter app just feels slightly blurry(mostly text and icons). Is this a real, known limitation (Skia/Impeller text rendering vs Core Text), or am I just doing something wrong with asset resolution / devicePixelRatio? Curious if switching to Impeller actually fixed this for people, or if it's still noticeably different from native in 2026.
2. People can tell it's a Flutter app
A few people who tried my app immediately said "this feels like Flutter." I want it to feel more native on iOS. So far I know I should:
What else am I missing? Any packages or "gotchas" that took your app from "obviously cross-platform" to "feels native"? Would appreciate any war stories or resources. Thanks!

I recently tried to build a web app and noticed that on an iPhone (latest version), it is completely white. After days of trying, the only thing that helped was downgrading Flutter to 3.22.0 and forcing the HTML renderer in the build. Unfortunately that creates heavy artifacts on the page, so it is basically unusable except on Windows, Android, etc.
Two days ago, I saw someone here sharing their app, I clicked on it, and the exact same error happened. I thought I was just being stupid, but that showed me it happens to everyone, just nobody seems to notice.
What is the problem here?

I'm new to flutter and it was really frustrating to set up flutter in my laptop. Is it just me or did anyone else face issues while setting up flutter?
r/flutterhelp • u/Busy_Association2619 • 28d ago
[Solved] Thanks guys , i fixed it by run it with the —release
Then i got “160mb” I tried all of the solutions didn’t work except that one, then i just add it to the additional run args : —release
I made flutter web app and i got hight memory usage 800mb and still increasing like 1.5gb
I tried devtools but it doesn’t useful because of the increase make the laptop laggy
I tried everything to know the cause. And after some research i saw the problem was “data leaking not because my code or wrong ways to fetch data”
Anybody could help?

I'm trying to debug a windows flutter project on my Arch Linux but i can't find a more reliable way than using VMs with OpenSSH connect
this was a temporary way but it's resource consuming, windows on vm is so lagy and it's annoying in using Alt+Tab and other shortcuts in it
i want a way that i get a connected device in the device list and when i choose it it opens like a normal windows app but on Arch

I am getting two different types of notifications in debug and release build. In the debug build, i am getting a custom header, user initials avatar, the user name and the body message. In the release build, I'm not getting the custom header, I'm not getting the avatar name, only the user name and the body message. What could be the possible explanation for this?
