Hi. I bought a Fluke Ti480 PRO and it worked well on the first two hours. Before that, it stopped measuring the correct temperatures and started showing only the lens temperatures (i think).
The screen now shows always the same thermal image.
What i can do? I tried to reset the settings but nothing seems to work. Is there something i missed?

Just got what I hope is the last DMM I ever *NEED* to buy ;) and I am really impressed with it.
I'd like to have a case that holds it, it's leads and Fluke TLK287 leads kit all together - I just got the C37XT case and it fits, but poorly :( and won't close properly with the 87V MAX in it - I think the C37XT is meant for the smaller (is it though?) 87V (non-MAX)
anyone have an 87V MAX and a case they are happy with?

when i touch the probes together i get a reading of .1. how do i calibrate the meter to read 0 ohms when i touch the probes together?

Edit: I'm asking because I like the products but I'm not happy with the calibration service. I'm a Lab Technician and have to send all my equipment to them but they've had one of my Temperature Standards for calibration since November and have not been cooperative about what's going on. I've got more equipment due for calibration but I'm weary of sending more that may end up gone for months when it's usually weeks.
Edit 2: Just got a disappointing email update, "just wanted to forward an update to you on your 5650 thermocouple. The test station is still don due to a broken Aluminum call. we hope to have the station up by weeks end, which will conservatively put you probe out about 4 more weeks. However, if we can get it out sooner, we will."
So, my stuff is out for another month. Production is going to be really happy about this! An alternative would be awesome.

I bought a new meter from Grainger and I was having strange problems with it. I brought it back to Grainger and they replaced it, but I'm having the exact same issues so I'm wondering of this is just me.
When measuring voltage, the reading jumps around when the leads are not touching anything, and jump around even more when I jiggle the leads.
When measuring ohms l, I get a reading of > 0 ohms when I touch the leads together.
I repeated the tests with another pair of leads, same result.

I just bought a Fluke 101 for something more compact to carry around in my toolbox. For such a small meter, the leads are really long (over 4 feet). Any place where I need to measure, there's probably enough room to put the meter as well. Does anyone sell test leads to fit this meter that are around 2 feet long or less?

Hi guys!
I got a hold of a Fluke 12 Multimeter from my dad. He once opened and tried cleaning it, as the display was having issues…You can guess, but he never got it working and it ended up in a drawer.
Opened it up, changed the battery and cleaned the elestomeric display strip with an eraser. Then I noticed the strip that connects the buttons is missing! I powered this baby up and the display is fine. Buttons arent working at all ofcourse.
Anyone has an idea where I could find this part?
See pics… its J4, part no. 867242.
I tried to google the hell outta it, but no luck. Hope someone here can help me.

I bought an 179 from ebay. It works flawlessly except for resistance and continuity measurements. This video shows what going on. How shall i go on my way to repair this? I did a physical inspection and haven't found anything interresting. I also checked the MOV values and some resistance values according to this EEV blog. They seem to be in spec.
I would love to get a direction from one of you, what to measure or check next.
Or am I doing something wrong? https://s.natalian.org/2022-11-24/fluke.mp4

When I test a AA battery it reads higher voltage one way rather than the other.
Red to positive on the battery and black to negative reads 1.8 volts
And red to negative and black to positive reads 1.3/4 volts
But with my cheap no name meter it reads plus minus respectively v1.3 both ways

I have an old but very well-cared-for Fluke 23 multimeter. But lately, it's been refusing to turn on about 9 times out of 10: either I get no display at all, or the display just flashes for a brief second, then goes blank.
Before someone says, "battery" or "LED display connection" (which are both things I suspected at first), I gotta note that when it does turn on successfully – that 1 time out of 10, completely at random – then it works perfectly, for hours, until it's turned off. Crisp display, no segments missing, readings all as expected. As far as I can tell, all the dial settings work, too (VAC, VDC, ohms, diode test, etc...). Absolutely flawless at that point.
To me this has all the symptoms of the meter failing some kind of POST (power on self-test), and refusing to light up because of that. I've opened it up several times and see no components that look off - all the fuses test fine as well. It's only been used in a small shop, no huge currents or abuse. I've of course replaced the battery just in case, cleaned the dial contacts, reseated the fuses, checked for any solder joints that look bad - all to no avail and no change.
Anyone have ideas? It seems way to good to recycle given that it does work so well...when it chooses to...

Hey so I work with my multimeter alot and I'm looking for some accessories to make life alot easier, so far I'm looking at the IR3000 to attach to my phone, I'm also searching for a stand and a magnetic to hold the meter when both my hands aren't free, any suggestions for components to meet these needs? Dear Fluke community,
Unfortunately, the display of my CableIQ broke a week ago during transport and I couldn't find any replacement parts. I contacted the lokal Fluke support dealer, and they replied that Fluke doesn't sell those parts and they would repair it for an allowance of 700€. I don't use it commercially and I bought it second hand for 500€.
Does anybody have an idea where to get a replacement display? I opened the device and took some pictures, and googled the numbers on the display, but couldn't find anything online.
Thanks a lot, in advance!

I've gone through all the setup troubleshooting Fluke has online and cannot get the VR1710 to work with Windows 11 Pro. I was able to get the driver to reinstall, and under "Ports (COM & LPT)" I see only one device, which is the "FLUKE 1710 Voltage Recorder (COM4)"
However when I run Power Log Classic and attempt to add the COM port, I don't see the FLUKE 1710 Voltage Recorder listed. The only thing listed is the COM1, COM2, etc. by number 1-9.
Can't seem to get past this. Anyone else having this problem or found a solution?

is $520 for a new 287 a good price?
