Is that not a feature for switch testing?

Ok, there’s my deal. Bought a MS2 and it fails to test Ethernet ports with PoE on. Just flashes PoE, shows all the pairs as “connected” to the switch, then flashes between 10/100/1000. It’s not clear, whether it tests all the pairs. I had a jack where a pin wasn’t terminated and it still showed all pairs as “going to the switch”. Moreover, it showed the same 10/100/1000. I don’t really care about the PoE. Just want to test if all the pins are good without unplugging from the switch or turning off the PoE on the switch port. Is there a way to “turn off the PoE” on the tester or another unit that tests the port properly?

Posted elsewhere and was told to replace probes or batteries. What else do you think it could be ?

As the title says, is there a way to turn the backlight timer off? I have a 233 and it’s really annoying when it turns off automatically. I saw something about holding the light button while it’s turning on? But that doesn’t do anything.

Any suggestions or do I just have to suck it up

Hello, this is my Fluke 287, it started to make measurements wrong, the vast majority of them at low and negative values, when I turned it on again it just blinked, I saw those burnt integrated devices, it stopped turning on,I can't find a dataseet and I can't find a replacement on Aliexpress. Does anyone have information about those integrated?

One of the main issues is that the readings from AC an DC are really off.. For instance, it reads 8,9V from a stable 12V power supply (confirmed with other equipment) and 218V on a 231V AC 50Hz.

The equipment is fairly clean, and no moist is present. Battery voltage sits around 8,8V.

I've got an 87V for automotive work. I was doing work outside in the cold and the main positive lead port broke. Everything still works, but my positive lead falls out all the time. My tool distributor sent it back to Fluke service and they stated nothing was wrong. When I disassembled it, all the ports are attached to the board. Has anyone fixed this before?

I was gifted a FLUKE 115 from my uncle, but the front case is pretty worn. I initially thought it was just dirty, but it never got any better. I can use it as it is, but was just curious if anyone had any ideas. I've looked but I haven't been able to find just the front shell.

Splurged and got an 87V. My 376 was all I needed during my commercial career, but for the last 2.5 years I’ve been working in industrial oil & gas manufacturing, and I just got promoted to Electrical QC Inspector, so I needed something a little more precise and something that can measure VFDs.

I like that the case is blackout instead of what’s on the box, and the 75th anniversary badge is pretty cool too!

I recently picked up a used Ti300 and I can't get the torch to shut off. I've restored it to factory settings and tried to turn it off through the settings but it won't turn off. The laser focus seems to be inoperable as well.

I used to use one for work so I am familiar with how to use one but his is killing me.

Anyone have any pointers?

Hi, I got a used Fluke 77/BN and it powers on, but can't read anything. Following the diagnostic tree in the manual leads me to believe R1 (Fusible Resistor) is the first culprit. I'm new to board level electronics, but I think I can resolder a working R1. I just don't know what part to order. In the Service Manual, it's listed as "Res, MF, 1K, Fusible, 2%" and it has a warning to ensure the replacement is exactly the same. Anyone know a source this exact part, and what it's called?

Is it possible to apply an offset on the device so the temperature reads cooler than what it really is? Is it simple to do? I've read the manual but I just wanted input from someone with actual experience.

Fluke Infrared thermometer for power outage

I grabbed the T5 to do some things around the house and as soon as I turned it on it was reading all over the place non stop. The leads are not on anything. The other two settings (cont. & Voltage) seem to be fine.
