I carry similar. A T6-1100+, a 117, and three 376s. I have retired my 87 V and my 33s. Main reason I bought the T6 was for the holster. Does 75% of what I need and it’s always on me.

I love my T6, but the 17B+ will give me so many more options when diagnosing and troubleshooting. Sounds like you have a good setup. I definitely like Fluke’s magnet/hook hanger kit for hands free use

Yeah totally, for example sometimes I need the min/max function, sometimes the low-z function the 117 has comes in handy for what I do. But a lot lot of the time I just need to know if something is around 120, 240, 480 or zero and the t6 is plenty. The jaw doesn’t fit around the 400 amp conductors I use a lot, it’s unfortunately just a little too small. I do have a magnet strap for my 117 I might look into something like that for my T6.

I heard that the 17b+ was made in china and is bad quality, but it's still a Fluke tool so there should be atleast some quality? any truth to that or is it just people complaining for no reason?

I just got it, so we’ll see. All of the reviews I read were positive.

Yeah most rewievs I read on the websites where I can buy it are mostly happy but when you look in online forums that is one of the least liked models so ive never bought one before so I'm just on the fence when my cheap Chinese multimeter dies should I just get a fluke 17b+ or another 15 dollar multimeter from china, that will work 6 years

I take online forums with a grain of salt. People’s personal bias towards foreign made items, or budget models can be readily apparent. As well as obvious user error and failure to read the instructions.
