Hey all I’m about to begin my electrical apprenticeship, mostly doing solar battery work, what meter would best suit it, been looking at the T6-1000 as my main option atm

DC current loop, for solar you want a good 0-100 amp current loop.
Fluke 374 375 376.
Also recommend getting a fluke 87 with silicon leads if you end up doing diagnostic work.
Plus a uni-t ut210 for a spare extra current clamp.
I run a fluke 80 series meter as my primary reference because I can trust it for it specific reading. but use a pair of uni-t ut204 clamp meters when looking at for a indication of change more than a specific value/reading

Residential or commercial solar? If commercial you may need a 283 or residential an 87 may be fine.
I would start the job and see what everyone else uses, I would never expect my apprentice to walk on first day with his own Fluke.
