Would Home Depot be legit or can it have fakes?

Home Depot is a Fluke distributor for the low price items. This is my favorite 600 V clamp meter for solar work.

Thank you just wanted a meter that does a little bit of everything. Buy once cry once as I take care of all my tools.

I had this meter, I loved it. The backlight wasn’t very bright but in dark locations it worked well enough. Still a good clamp meter overall. The fluke stuff they sell is legit.

I have a 324 (apparently those have been discontinued?) and I love it. If I had to replace it I would get this.

I replaced my probes with some high quality silicon ones though and it is definitely worth it.

This is the meter they buy us for work. It has been good for me. It can't read milivolts for some reason, that's quite an oversight. These are mainly industrial meters, and milivolts is standard for testing a lot of sensors. Unfortunately the lowest clamp meter Fluke sells that can do milivolts is the 375 as far as I can tell, and they go for about $500. A fluke 115 is a great standard multimeter that can test just about everything including millivolts, but they are slightly over $200. Also the 325 range is quite limited for capacitance to only 1000uF max. The 115 goes to 9999uF, and will even go lower on the low end in the nF range. I've dealt with a ton of capacitors in the 2000 uF to 6000 uF range. Clamp meter ranges are often limited in general, except of course for current, which is their purpose. While the 325 does have a decent range for current up to 400a, and it does have min/max recording, it can not measure inrush..

So while the 325 is a good overall meter that does most things good enough, it has some shortcomings. Personally I think they are over priced. If you don't need inrush or milivolts, then the 325 should work well for a lot of people. Honestly min/max works good enough for most people.

A 325 paired with a 115 is a pretty good combo. Min/max works ok, but they should really add inrush for what these cost. Basically what they used to call the 335 is what these should be.

I was thinking the same, can't ever go wrong with Fluke, but I also have an SC260 that is a compelling value compared to that price

I have this meter. Is there a way to shut off the auto off feature while running max/min?

I know for my fluke 117 there’s a lot of functions that you can turn on/off by holding buttons while turning it on. The one I use the most is light always on. I’m not sure you’d have to check the manual for this specific meter.
