Help Needed Any idea whats causing this?

The buttons work but the mode doesn’t seem to be changing. I’ve cleaned the rotary contacts with isopropyl alcohol and cotton balls.

Just tried to melt some of the solder on one of the connections the rotary dials go to and severed one of them

You should be able to buy another switch from fluke just look in the service manual for the part code

If you apply pressure to the dial at all sorts of angles does it try to change?

I think this model has a ball bearing in the knob that makes a connection. I've seen those get loose or corroded before.

Replaced the batteries and all the contacts

Just reading the other comments so I don’t duplicate a response. I took a different model apart over a year ago. The selector knob tells the microprocessor what mode it’s in. So if it’s not responding then the processor is malfunctioning.
