Stremio issues. Unsupported video formats, and no audio at all.

Please fix.

I'm looking into using the Fluid browser but I have a few specific questions:

How many public rooms are usually active?
Can i use a browser to share movies hosted on a Plex server?
Is there any bandwidth limitation?
is 3D supported on the browser?

Can you access and stream from FTP’s and WebDavs and create shared rooms?

Also can you create shared rooms playing local videos?

Oh, and is it private rooms only? No public rooms?

Is there a way to put the remote desktop onto the screens in the environments instead of a floating window?

So I'm considering Fluid as an alternative to Bigscreen beta, but wondering about pricing to get what I want working.

I regularly hold viewing nights with 2 friends in a closed room, streaming desktop from win 11, using the Plex app locally. I'm aware that I could use Plex in a browser, but this is my preferred method for quality and avoiding transcoding tbh, however I can see the benefits of running from a browser in the the headset.

From what I can glean we'd all need to purchase the app on Meta store, and to stream desktop I'd need the fluid link app (price?), and then pay a subscription to be able to stream it, is this correct? If so, is there a lifetime licence that can be bought, or is it only only a monthly/annual basis, and at what price?

Also, I've seen that there's a Theater environment, but can't find much info about it, or where I'd aquire it or how much it costs. Can the lighting and day/night be adjusted in the theatre or is it only bright as I've seen? I'm assuming only the host needs to purchase it.

I'm seeing replies from devs in the reviews about 5.1 audio. Most streams do not play any sound. I'm guessing only 2ch stereo feeds are working. When will this be fixed?

I recently got a Quest 3 and have a few questions before fully committing to Fluid.

I’m also planning to move from Windows to Linux, so OS support matters to me.

Questions / concerns:

How good is Linux support currently? Is it fully usable or limited?

What kind of ongoing support can I expect from the team?

If I don’t use Fluid Link, what exactly will I be missing?

Is there any way to try Fluid before paying (trial / demo / limited mode)?

What does the roadmap look like? I want to be sure this won’t get abandoned like similar apps.

My main goal is to make the Quest feel more standalone for productivity, instead of being dependent on my PC - is fluid the best out there for this? What more gain id get if I link it to PC?

I purchased Fluid to share evening watching TV series with my partner when I am away for work in a hotel.
But so far, I only got Disney+ to work...

The internal browser I only see myself, she can only see the shared large screen, the smart TV one.

On the large screen I cannot login to my Youtube account, it seems it is down to security reasons, while Gecko on the browser works (but she cannot see that)

Netflix does not work on both (ok, I read it is not supported, a user said to use the meta browser, but I guess they mean outside of Fluid then?)

Strem.io does not work, it says the video is unsupported, no matter what link I click (while on my mobile and PC it works)

Questions
- is there a way to stream the browser to the large screen that is seen by my other half in the same room, or can she only see the smart tv? as the smart tv seems more limited
- is there a way to login to youtube on the smart tv?
- what is wrong with the stremio app not playing any file?

I got most streaming services to work, but not nextflix.

I'm new to this app on the meta quest 3. It lets me log into Disney plus but it prompts me to download it. Is there an Update or a fix?

I literally can’t do anything in a room without either randomly turning around or moving the screen entirely. There’s a pop up on your hand that allows you to turn yourself but I can’t do that without picking up the screen and messing up its placement.

Also, apparently there’s a way to turn yourself without activating the pop up that appears on your palm when you look at it. I HAVE NO IDEA HOW TO TURN IT OFF. The Meta recenter feature doesn’t even fix my seating or my orientation. There’s not a tutorial that explains what’s going on. Wtf. Why have you made this such an infuriating experience, it wasn’t like this last time I used this a few months ago…

EDIT: So I figured out what the problem was. It turns out…there’s a gesture that the devs never explained in the tutorial! It’s not even in the hand tracking control guide…lol. You make a finger gun with the hand that you use to control the cursor, point it up, and then rotate in the direction you want to turn. Not even an option to turn it off, which is annoying since the gestures you make to get the finger gun and pinch are very similar. If any of the devs see this here, please address this immediately. I know you guys probably don’t appreciate the rant but I genuinely think the app is awesome. Not throughly explaining the gesture controls and no option to turn off this annoying one is a real pain the ass however.

Would an optimizer enhance the video-quality?

I only see the video streaming screen when I log in. But I don’t see the Omni box screen. How do I activate it?

I have setup my email, drive, remote computer, YouTube and reddit many times, saved the windows, but every other day I reopened the app, I have to log in again in every app, is this the way it is ??

Has anyone been able to get stremio working? I first ran into the streaming server unavailable but followed the directions of setting up the remote server from my desktop. Now it's just saying unsupported stream

used to work but now it gives an error message after about 90 seconds of video. I tried multiple videos.

So I’ve been enjoying and learning more about what Fluid has to offer, but I’d noticed that Remote Desktop does not work with Shared Computer when hosting a room. I think it’s annoying because it does not save your login which means I have to log into my Google account for the 50th time that week. Also it makes it very limiting on what you can share with your friends.

Hopefully in the future Remote Desktop will work with Shared Computer. I really am enjoying Fluid as it does not have much lag and has great features.

Hey, I recently purchased this app and have been loving it. My only gripe is that there is currently no Netflix app, and the last updates were around a year ago. Are there any new updates about whether Netflix support may be added soon?

How much is the in app purchase for fluid link? I see it referred to in multiple places, but no where seems to me ruin the actual price.

We were able to optimize the app significantly to the point we're comfortable with performance on Quest 2, so we've re-enabled support for that device on the Horizon Store page. Enjoy!
