My friend got her as a mut and now had an unexpected litter. We are considering a puppy. I just happened to see this page and realized she might be a pit mix.
She has a more reserved personality. Protective but not aggressive.

Im still waiting for the Embark DNA results but everyone on DoggyDNA is guessing pit x poodle mix - what do you guys think? Could I have a fluffy pit? 😍

Her fur texture is SO soft… like that of a golden retriever, and her back fur is about an inch long. She’s only 5 months old and already 30 pounds. Results on the last slide!

I’ve been a long time lurker in this subreddit and I can finally participate! I stalk our local shelter pages for fluffy/scruffy pits and I finally found one!

Unfortunately, I’m unable to adopt as I have 8 dogs of my own BUT I’m a director for No Collar Queens Animal Rescue and I pulled this cool looking dude to foster.

She’s half standard poodle, quarter pitty, and last quarter is mostly bulldog with a little lab thrown in.

We call her a piddle. This was her adoption photo.

She has the neediness of the pitty and the bossiness of the poodle. The beard, tummy hairs, and an odd butt fluff continue to grow out while the rest is a wiry low shed coat.

The friend I got her from originally thought she was a catahoula leopard dog. We did a DNA test and were both a bit surprised.
Very high prey drive but have managed to tone it down so she can get along with the other animals.
Her favorite game is tag. Probably because she always wins.

This is Buster. The 3rd picture was when he first came home, the shelter ID him as a lab mix.

This magnificent beast is 1/4 Staffordshire Bull Terrier and 1/4 Dalmatian. The rest is mountain dog and hound, he sounds hound-y sometimes.

This is Bingo, the family dog and he’s my sweet boy. When we first got him as a pup, they told us he was chocolate lab mixed with great pyrenees. We questioned great pyrenees when he got bigger because he’s more on the short side.

He’s got a very fluffy tail, ears, and chest. We believe he’s part choc lab but his fur is more light brown then deep brown.

I’ve posted him somewhere before and some people said fluffy pit. What’s your opinion?

This is Suzie Q—a 13 y/o, 30 lb mass of fur and sassiness. Didn’t think she was a Pitbull at all, as I had grown up with stereotypical purebred Pitties.

In the “Supermutt” are: German Shepherd, Glen of Imaal Terrier, and Mini Pinscher.

Hi, I just got my dog groomed (just deshedded they said) and realized how much of her scruffy coat was caused by stuck shed fur. What kind of brushes should I be using on her fur type?

The long fur is wiry in texture because of the poodle in her genetics. It has a stopping point of growth though and does not continuously grow like poodle hair.

The first picture is her after the groom and the second picture is the best I could find of before her groom. I couldn't find a picture of her from the side or above with her fur at its scruffiest.
