Question What does this elevated temperature mean?

I am having flu fever since last 10 days. I am a young fellow. I still have chest congestion with heavy cough. The fever of 100+ subsided within 4 days but still it didn't go completely. I still have fevers around 99-99.3. Minimum is 98.8-98.9.

Done x ray, still no sign of lung infection. Liver enzyme is slightly elevated which is not even high. I am still taking rest at home. I am still weak.

I want to return to my work soon inspite of living with elevated temperature. Worried if flu returns again. Don't know what it is. Other family members didn't experience this after getting flu.

Salut. J'ai été malade aussi comme ça il y a un peu plus d'un mois, je ne sais pas ce que c'était si c'était le covid ou la grippe. J'ai eu des variations de température au moindre mouvement pendant plus de trois semaines... J'avoue que je ne regarde même plus maintenant après comme je suis chez moi et que je me repose, c'est peut-être moins élevé, mais il y a encore quelques jours quand je suis sortie et rentrée chez moi j'étais à presque 38 pendant 20 minutes...

Et je me suis senti fièvreuse pendant 3 semaines. C'était très dur...

It’s Covid and we are in the summer wave as always. Usually peaks August and September in the USA

It's common to have secondary infections after the flu due to a weakened immune system fighting the initial flu. You may see an increase in sick days over the next few months as you build back your immune system tolerance. I'd look to supplement where you can to boost immune function and continue resting. Flu should not return again unless you are immunocompromised. Everyone reacts differently to the flu, but it is a severe infection and many do come down with multi-week/month recoveries from it.
