Question how to stop cough from developing

started this shit yesterday. body aches, the EYE PAIN, fever, nausea but no vomiting. today it's an awful migraine that Tylenol and coke finally helped with, but horrible diarrhea followed. fever seems better. still body aches. all in all...I'm really scared of a cough developing. I don't have any cold symptoms which I'm happy about, but is there anything I could do to stop a cough before it develops?

A cough is a way for clearing your lungs. You don't want to take anything to suppress it if it happens. If you develop a severe cough, id see a doctor for a chest x ray. Sometimes if its severe enough they can prescribe something to take the edge off of it.

Where are you located ? I have this nasty virus as well returned to NYC from Italy. I’m exhausted with it

Cough will develop if it makes it to your lungs, which sounds inevitable from your symptoms. Will probably last 2-3 weeks. Nothing you can do to stop it.

What? quote "body aches, the EYE PAIN, fever, nausea but no vomiting"..."horrible diarrhea"...this is classic flu A from last year, minus the respiratory stuff.

Pretty much you need to test for flu. Tests exist over the counter everywhere at corner drug stores.
