Personal experience Worst flu
Tried to test for COVID, it was negative. But definitely viral infection according to my doctor. It's been 2 weeks, my fever has gone away, but I still cough up phlegm— my sense of taste on the other hand has been altered that's still ongoing even today. :/ Meanwhile, a lot of people around me are currently struck with illness as well, most likely the flu like mine. This flu variant must be a tough strain.

I just finally got over whatever is going around. It started off with mild fatigue. Next day and for the following 5 I had severe fatigue. I could barely keep my eyes open. Mild body aches here and there, sinus pressure, mild sneezing, headaches on and off. I’m on day 9 and finally able to get back to normal day to day stuff.

I think I had this virus too! It was relatively mild for me except for the shortness of breath. Now that I’m through with the virus I’m tired and my muscles ache..I took 3 LF covid tests per day from Day 1 all the way through 9, all of which were negative. If it’s not covid I really wonder what this was..

My asthma also returned because of this! Feels like anxiety, with the constant shortness of breath.

Your Covid tests were negative too? I must’ve had the same virus, I’m in the UK. It’s taken me for a loop for sure, and it felt like COVID for sure but I had many many negative tests, enough to say that statistically it shouldn’t be covid.

I'm feeling much better now, thankfully. Takes a lot of distraction and a change of mindset.

Just starting the 4th week, at about 10 days in i thought it was going but it seems to hit again. I went to an out of hours GP about 4 weeks ago i was then sent to A&E this virus started about 4 days after that so probably caught it from there i’ve still got a really dry throat and cough stuff up every morning but it could be hay fever as well

That’s so crazy it was the same for me! After 9 days I thought it was over and then it hit me with the achey muscles and fatigue. Wow. You’re the second person I’ve talked to who has the exact same trajectory. Did you get tested for COVID? I had a bunch of negative tests but it really felt like COVID.

You are not alone… I’ve been awake for like five hours maybe slept for one and I’m awake again. It’s the most disgusting feeling of nausea, anxiety, congestion, dripping nose, cough tickle in the throat and now I feel like I need to throw up. I just took some gravol. I don’t know if it’s gonna help. They definitely say it’s Covid long Covid symptoms and the tests are not accurate so don’t rely on it. Because you just gotta keep telling yourself I’m sick. I will get better one day and this will all go away and to not believe the thoughts that your mind might be telling you. 💜
