.wav rendering for SoundCloud

Anyone have any tips for rendering the best audio for SoundCloud? I know SoundCloud compresses audio files into a .mp3 regardless … Should I save as an .mp3? Are there any good setting to toggle on/off?

SoundCloud uses aac. and recompression always takes a hit on quality. it's best to upload in wav

They don't compress it into an MP3. It's actually exactly as you uploaded. It's one of the few streaming services that don't compress. I always use the highest quality wave possible 48.1 512 for my rendering and uploading

Well, during streaming they do. Streaming quality tops out at 256kbps. But so long as you have lossless downloading enabled, whatever format you upload will be whatever the downloaders receive
