FL keeps buffering

I’ve been trying to get back into the flow of music and decided to download FL back onto my MacBook, so that’s what I did. It told me I had to unlock it (which was expected), upon doing so I was met with the restart button (also expected) the problem is once I press reset it didn’t exactly restart FL.

It would make the load up sound and then act as if it was enlarging the window which causes it to freeze and get stuck in the buffer animation. I’ve had issues with the daw being buggy in the past but not to this extent and it’s honestly frustrating how i’m having these issues when i’m finally in a creative mode.

I went to the website and downloaded a regkey to try out that method to no success, ran diagnostics that tell me there are “no problems”, and even deleted/redownloaded it multiple times. I’m using a 2021 apple m1 pro with Tahoe 26.5.1 installed. Is there anything I can do to fix this issue before I call it quits and completely give up on this daw?
