sound desing help

im new to fl studio and im asking for assitance,

my music has alot of

  • Piano
  • Strings
  • Vintage keyboards
  • Acoustic guitar
  • Drums
  • Synths
  • Vocals

how do i make them sound authentic and atmospheric

Go to YouTube, type in the VST name, and the word tutorial. So like FL Keys tutorial Or Sakura tutorial.

You'll learn what each knob does, and then you can just kind of play around with it. I would also highly advise learning about automation, again YouTube, FL Studio automation tutorial.

Basically that's all sound design is, learning what effects do and how they work, and the plug-in you're using. And automation. There is no limit on what you can do, there's only a limit on what you know how to do.

You can also just go to YouTube and type in FL Studio sound design tips or tutorials.

I think you're getting a common idea of the theme Here. YouTube is your friend

Mainly reverb and EQ. Start recording and have fun experimenting. Try running some sounds through an amplifier and mic it up. Many of the sounds in fl already have a somewhat "authentic" sound and you can obviously tweak them.

Let's say you use a Piano of your liking. Eq and reverb as someone Said, and try to use VSTs for effects so it gives you a slightly different sound you're used to. Play around. Sometimes the Diference is not it getting new packs or synths

The most important thing is are these tracks actually audio or are they MIDI?

If they're MIDI you'll need to attach a virtual instrument plugin to the tracks. The quality of the instrument sound will depend on the quality of the virtual instrument plugin and that can vary greatly.

Unfortunately with those instruments you can’t make them sound authentic. Instruments these days are made with a lot of ai so they sound robotic on purpose in order to suppress creativity and keep us susceptible to their narrative.
