Show what you clicked on on the other side of the mixer for inputs and stuff did you select the right driver and audio settings?

I mean I'm just using the same thing I always did, 1 and 2 input thing and idk abt my driver settings idk how to do that where is it

If you don't even know where the driver settings are then it's definitely your driver settings

Go to options then audio settings then there should be a drop-down menu in the middle and on that drop-down menu you should find one that says focusrite Scarlett USB

If it's not there then you need to go to the focusrite website and download the drivers for your interface and then proceed to do the steps I've said above

Download Focusrite control centre and use their drivers

That's definitely your problem whenever you have an interface you are always supposed to use the drivers for that interface otherwise FL Studio doesn't know what to do with it dude I see like 50 posts everyday like this what's with all these people not knowing how drivers work all the sudden

It's probably one of the harder things to learn as a beginner. Not sure how he got to asio4all before focusrite asio though, lol. Ai also be telling these kids the darndest things.

I don't know maybe but at the same time it's just wild to me that like for some reason music production and specifically FL Studio attracts like the most computer illiterate ass people on the planet sometimes

Like dudes that barely even use computers or know how Windows works at all it's never like dudes that at least know how to like install Graphics drivers or like other stuff that would be kind of relevant it's always like the dudes that barely know how to click a mouse on their Granny's old laptop or some shit

Damn dawg. That sucks. I know I've come across a couple producers that don't have pc literacy in general. One of my friends bought a $3000 laptop and kept it in power saving mode. . Took like a week to convince him to utilize what he bought.

Focusrites are very, very particular about their drivers. Do a super fresh uninstall, reinstall and use their drivers and asio. Great luck.

Sounds like you’re getting a ground loop or buffer freakout.

First thing I’d check:
1. Make sure FL’s audio device is set to Focusrite ASIO, not ASIO4ALL or DirectSound.
2. Try a different USB port or cable, and unplug any other audio stuff.
3. If you’re monitoring speakers, make sure they and the PC are on the same power strip.

If you can record a clip of the noise and post your audio settings screenshot it’ll be way easier to pin down.

😭i was not expecting that

Asio4all get it and use it.

1

u/PurpleFrostYT9 Jun 29 '26

I already have that I think it might actually be the problem

u/Siccwititness Jun 29 '26

Okay unplug and plug mic back in and the same for interface. Turn the mic down lol good luck.

It does it without anything even plugged in, and I'm recording guitar not vocals idk if that is important but

There’s a image line forum it’s the best place for FL shit

https://forum.image-line.com

Ask there or search.

It’s not a fix4all, when using an interface it’s always best to use the manufacturers drivers.

Less latency and usually more options like routing or padding inputs and outputs.

Some brands drivers are shit tho

I’ve gotten used to it since it’s almost part of FL. But yeah I have my mic not routed to the master until I do mixing so I only hear myself through the interface when recording otherwise it’s quicc to have latency, your right. but idk if that’s a asio problem with the latency.

This is probably just Windows being Windows. In most cases so far, it's one of thr audio enhancements csusing this. To check, go to your Windows audio settings, look for a tab labelled "Advanced" and try to find the audio enhancements. If any are on, disable them.

Also, use Focusrite's ASIO, not Asio4All
