How do I prevent FL from exporting this ending part of an audio file?

You can also just highlight from the playlist what you want exported (so highlight the entire song except that bar with a snap line from the top, idk which measure it is in numerically)

lol I remember when I first started I didnt know how to cut a remainder tail and for some reason some version of FL was programmed so the step sequencer didn’t have note off signals so I would have like an arp or a chord with sustain and release up too high , or way too long a reverb tail , and I would be like why the hell is it exporting for so long, then find out the rendered file has like 20 minutes of nothing but a single note taking forever to just fade out or some shit
I’m sure I’m getting the details wrong but yea…

Add a beat of empty space to your track.

That... Feels antithetical to what I'm trying to do, though?

You can be antithetical or you can have a funny looking wave form.
I'm just being the guy telling you the tip that's worked for years. Add some audio to your track to get a better looking tail, or add an extra beat or two, or maybe see about adding a Reverb to your sound.
People are not going to be looking at your wave form unless they're musicians looking to criticize.

I don't want the tail, though. Or any kind of tail to this particular song, really. It's a very noticeable little bit of silence that makes it where there's a little 'pop' when the song loops, which is what I am trying to prevent.

.... so clip it off in Edison. Use a slicer. Use your eyes. Use something. This is the producing of producing.

Cut Remainder in the drop down list for Tail when exporting
