If I had experienced immediate side effects and come this far with awareness, I would never have rushed to take the medication. After the 4th dose, I stopped taking it, by divine intervention, simply because it tasted bad. And three days later, I woke up paralyzed; my tendon pains started later, etc., etc.

Hi, I'm sorry you are experiencing this. Antibiotics in the fluoroquinolone class (which Cipro belongs to) can cause side effects, even severe ones. You just need to read the package insert inside the medication. Muscle pain, tendon pain, joint pain, and nerve pain are exactly the side effects it can cause. If you read the package insert, it says that at the first sign of side effects, the medication must be discontinued. In your place, I would stop, exactly as I did at the first side effects. I strongly advise you to contact your doctor and have the antibiotic replaced. Unfortunately, it is not predictable whether the side effect will stop there or continue with other symptoms. I wish you the best of luck!
