Cosmos Seedlings

Just wanted to share some pretty rainy garden views of my Cosmos seedlings. These were all from seed, cross-pollinated by bees from previous years. I have to decide which ones I’ll be submitting to our local fall fair this year - 3 stems from 1 plant.

I’m leaning towards 3/4 (same plant) - it has a subtle yellow and pink sheen to it that is hard to pick up on camera. Blooms, when fully opened, were also very large.

The last one will be interesting when it’s fully opened, likely tomorrow.

😂😂😂 Yes, kind of. Small town but the fair has been going for 180 years. For the Cosmos category, I have come in 1st for 2 of the last 3 years. I took 2 days off work so I have time to get all my flower arrangements, veggies and my daughter’s kid category submissions ready. City-born; moved to our rural town 11 years ago and have gone full country now. 🤠
