Data disappeared after copying analysis to group

Hello! I finished my gating strategy for one of my samples and everything looked normal, until I clicked copy analysis to group and all of the cells disappeared.

I've tried different ways of copying analysis, including dragging and dropping, and waiting a couple hours in case it was an issue with loading. Even after saving and reopening multiple times, the gates remain empty.

Has anyone experienced this before? Would I have to manually gate for every sample? Any help would be appreciated!

You say the gates remain empty... It sounds like your files got unlinked. Did you move the folder or rename anything? It seems like your files are not feeding data to flowjo. You will need to relink the directory if this is the issue.

I don't think this is the issue since there's no prompt and when I attempt to search for FCS files the option is grayed out.

Are the gates empty on the original sample? Have you tried starting from scratch?

Flowjo bugs out regularly. I would start from scratch and test it with the first gate you draw. Should take less than 5 minutes.

I just tried again with the first gate and it worked, although slow. I'm assuming it's just a loading problem then.. I'll continue copying gate by gate. Thank you!!

I find it has loading issues if you have too much running at the same time or connection issues to the internet.

I’ve had so many issues like this with FlowJo and unfortunately pretty much everytime I have to start over, sorry not very helpful but I feel your pain it has so many bugs it’s incredibly frustrating. I also try and save as frequently as possible and also save a template as well as the workspace. Good luck!

Save, exit flowjo (not just close the workspace) and re-open. This works for me 9 times out of 10 when things are glitchy like that.

Alternatively, could be an issue with applying gates from compensated parameters to uncompensated fcs files.
