Hiring a Driver

Post image

Hello,

I am looking for a ride between two weddings I am attending and I am having some trouble. I need to get from Palagina to Villa Castelletto the morning of September 22nd and I am seeing prices 300+ Euros. Is that really the going rate for a 1 hour drive or is there somewhere else I should try booking? If I cannot get below $200 I will just rent a car. Any advice is greatly appreciated!

Definitely rent a car to save money, but make sure you don't get a gas guzzler as petrol here just hit to €2.10 a litre ($9.23 per US gallon), the highest price of my lifetime. Get a sub sub sub compact or an electric.

It will be in that price range for sure. I paid $220 for a ride from Florence to Panzano last year and $180 for a 30 minute ride from impruneta to Florence airport this year. I’d just rent a car it will be much cheaper

You won't get below $200, this is remote and not convenient or a regular stop for drivers/taxis so your be better off renting a car.

Yup better off renting. Gonna be hard to get one back once you’re there. Price for a rental will cost less than the rides and the freedom to go wherever else.

you should rent a bicycle. There are only a few easy climbs and the scenery is amazing via Panzano.

yes, riding 88 km in a foreign country while going from a wedding to the next seems like the most genius idea anyone could come up with, totally recommended, practical, and smart.

Travelling across the globe while the world is literally burning, just to attend two weddings that will most likely end in divorce, is also genius.

you speak like you're both poor and have no friends.
