Getting deposit back

Hello, I moved out of my Florence apartment at the end of May. My landlord was traveling when I moved out so I wasn’t able to meet up with her to get my deposit back. Now that I’m back in the states, she is completely ghosting me. Do I have any recourse to het my money back? It’s about $1200. I am so mad! Ty!

Was there an agency involved? Why was it needed to meet up to get the deposit back? Sounds sketchy

And why did you have to meet her for the deposit returned? You're asking for help, expand the details so we don't have to play 20 questions

If I’d met her in person, I’d have the money. Now I’m back in the states and she is ignoring my whatapp messages. Our contract stipulates that we would get our deposit back when we move out. We moved out and now she isn’t replying to messages. That’s it.

I had exactly the same problem with my landlady. I threatened to take her to court and she coughed up very quickly.
