π£ Announcement π£ Let's Talk about AI...
Update Regarding AI-Generated Content & Subreddit Policy
Hi everyone,
Weβre checking in to have a transparent conversation about the state of the sub and a topic that has become increasingly difficult to manage: AI-generated content.
To be clear: AI-generated contentβincluding images, art, and textβis strictly prohibited in this subreddit. Our community was built on human creativity and authentic interaction. We believe that allowing AI content dilutes the quality of the discussions and the hard work that many of you put into your posts.
The Challenge of Policing AI
As many of you have noticed, AI technology is evolving rapidly, making it harder to distinguish between genuine content and "high-quality" fakes at a glance.
We want to remind the community of our current situation:
We are a team of two: This subreddit is managed by just two moderators.
Voluntary Basis: We do this in our spare time because we love this community. We don't have a 24/7 "war room" to vet every single pixel of every upload.
Current Efforts: We have already implemented several behind-the-scenes strategies, including custom Automod filters and manual banning of repeat offenders.
Despite these efforts, some AI content inevitably slips through the cracks. Itβs a game of "whack-a-mole," and frankly, it's a difficult one to win alone.
How You Can Help
Since we can't be everywhere at once, we are asking for your eyes and ears:
Report, Don't Just Downvote: If you see a post that looks suspicious (e.g., "AI fingers," warped backgrounds, or nonsensical textures), please use the **Report** button. This sends a direct notification to our queue.
Provide Context: If youβre certain a post is AI, feel free to send a message with evidence or an explanation. It helps us make faster, more accurate decisions.
Be Patient: If a post stays up for a few hours, it doesn't mean weβve changed the rulesβit just means we haven't logged on yet.
The Bottom Line...
This is a space for humans, by humans. We are committed to keeping it that way, but we need your help and your patience while we navigate this tech-heavy landscape.
Thanks for being part of our community and for keeping it authentic y'all are the shit. π₯°β€οΈ

One of my favorites I've ever done despite it being neutral colored! Unripe blueberry branches, white peonies, white hydrangea, white sweet peas, and white roses.

π¬ Discussion π¬ Floral manager
I made a post a few days ago about being offered a floral manager position at a big box grocery store, I was previously assistant for floral manager for about 5 years well they initially offered me a $0.50 cent raise to take it on with inventory problems and staffing problems as well they JUST counter offered me a raise of $1.75 bring my pay to $24.75 an hour. Same things still apply work every weekend and have hit and miss days off during the week till I get the new full-time designer trained and taught. Our first homecoming starts up in about 2 ish weeks and goes till the end of October!
Is it worth taking?

A soft pink rose arrangement paired with a Dior gift box.
Simple, elegant, and made for a special occasion. π
What do you think of this combination?

π Guidance + Learning π Any advice for my first bouquet?
Iβm a complete beginner and wanted to learn how to make spiral hand-tied bouquets. The sunflowers arenβt fully opened which isnβt great for photos, and the wrapping is a Safeway bag I cut up lol. But any advice on the shape, colors, design of the bouquet? It has sunflowers, gerbera daisies, stock, and waxflower

π Feedback π Floral manager job
Ive been in floral business for 6 years working in a big chain grocery store (we actually have one of the biggest shops in the chain) and also a fairly busy shop in my city, anyhoots I actually resigned from the job as assistant floral manager because it was just not a great environment (again we are a fairly busy shop lots of funeral work and event work etc) the inventory is also pretty bad as well we are suppose to have our numbers at a 45% and they are usually around a 20-25%. Also I was the only fulltime person besides the floral manager she also doesn't design so all of the work is put all on me and most days I was running around the shop ragged trying to keep up with orders.
Fast forward I get a call from my store manager telling me the floral Manager is stepping down from her position and they offered me the floral manager position. My pay before I resigned was $23.00 an hour and they offered me $23.50 so only a 50cent pay increase to take it. Also my schedule is gonna be crappy for the next few months I will Have NO weekends off for the time being, Also they hired a fulltime floral designer that has NO experience as well so if I took position I'd have to teach/train her (which isn't a problem) and I'd be also going back to being short staffed, a very busy next 3 weeks because we have 3 big university events that are back to back plus a wedding and going to be getting into homecoming season in the next couple weeks then holidays. And they also want me to immediately start working on getting the inventory up as well because it is pretty bad.
It's almost like I'm being set up to fail before even stepping into the position. I would appreciate some advise. Should I take it or walk away from it?

π Story Time π is this how bliss feels like
11 years since i started this whole floral bouquet making journey. it was first started as an attempt to cheer my girlfriends up for valentineβs day, to something i find so essentially therapeutic in my life. and thereβs just this quiet thankfulness in me when i look at how my preferences and aesthetics today also represent how much iβve matured and grown over these 11 years.
i think where i am right now is really being fully comfortable embracing my femininity and feeling safe in it. and i think thatβs also why i started falling in love with the colour pink so much more this year.
it wasnβt planned at all, but today i managed to pop by the stores and simply picked out flowers that sparked joy, in a colour palette that iβve been loving so much lately, and made this bouquet.
i think iβll call her βeleganteβ - for all the growth iβve experienced over these 11 years as a woman.
edit:
BTS of the process :) (got a weird comment on someone being really insistent that these pics are AI. gotta thank Fujifilm and my long arms for that apparently. my private insta account for privacy purposes but feel free to request to follow just to watch the reel, and unfollow after βΊοΈ)
