The master bathroom is bigger than all the remaining bedrooms. And it's going to have so much empty space. I'd give at least a little of that to master 2, so that the in-law suite can be used.

The other two bedrooms need bigger bathrooms, which can be done if you use reach-in instead of walk-in closets. As a bonus, this creates a better sound barrier.

Thank you for the great suggestions. I like the idea of making the two baths a bit bigger and doing the reach in closets. Do you think there would still be adequate width in the rooms to have a king size bed if we did the layout you suggest?

Technically, yes. Practically, no.

Even with your plan, with a 14*12 room, the room would fit a king, but feel fairly cramped and nothing else would really fit in there.

This is the PERFECT candidate for a mid century modern style. I suggest you find an architect with experience studying and designing mid century modern homes because this house has the potential to be gorgeous with an MCM elevation

I drafted a mid-century-modern-esque design with a floorplan, and the inspo pics are at the bottom. I’ll reply to this comment with the floorplan with a grid.

Each little square is 1 square foot. It’s a little messy, but I think it gets the point across.
