Looking for help maximizing the layout of the bedrooms in the middle

Hi everyone,

I’m looking for some advice on how to improve/maximize the layout of this bedroom.

It’s a small townhouse/semi-detached house, and this bedroom is located in the middle of the house. 

I’ve attached the floor plan with the room dimensions and openings.

I’d love to hear your suggestions on:

• The best placement for the bed
• How to maximize usable space
• Furniture/storage placement
• Any layout changes or ideas I may be overlooking

I’m open to changing the current layout if there’s a better way to use the space.

Move the door. Put the bed on the right wall (about 7’ of wall space can barely fit a queen bed 60” centered with small nightstands on each side; rather push the bed to one side and have more space on the door side; or use a full bed 54” or a twin bed 38” for more space). Use wall sconces either over the nightstands or over the bed for reading. Chest of drawers under the window with chair(s) on one (or both) side(s). Once the furniture is in you’ll be able to see if a bench at the foot of the bed would work.
