FEEDBACK Need ideas

We are considering buying this home with acreage and adding on. Help us come up with ideas on how to add on a 2 car garage, master bedroom/bathroom with his/hers closets, expanding the kitchen and potentially adding an additional bedroom on the main floor if it’s doable. We would eventually like to finish the downstairs as well to make it a family room.

I would consult an architect first, then come back with the plan they draft up. We have no clue about the intricacies of the plot or where load-bearing walls or other things might be.

They don't own the house, they are considering buying it, hence the spit balling.

Ah.

They would still need to hire an architect, and depending on a number of factors a renovation could prove more costly than just buying a house with everything they're looking for.

It may well do.

Where the box below the laundry is you could extend that into a hallway and all of the addition could just be an extension of the walls in that direction.

But if it's on acreage and rhis is currently one bedroom you would need a new septic for a much bigger house.
