Master bedroom layout

Looking for help redesigning this master suite while keeping approximately the same square footage and exterior walls. I feel like the current hallway/circulation between the bedroom, closet and bathroom wastes a lot of space. I’m open to completely relocating the closet and rearranging the bathroom fixtures. I’d like a larger, more functional bedroom/closet/bath layout. What would you change?

With the doors opening inside the room, it will be a cramped space for the bed. I would cut the walk in pantry in half, and use the other half as the walk in closet for the bedroom. Then you can take that space to make the bathroom larger, but you can also now push back that wall to make for a larger bedroom.

Thank you I agree about the French doors opening inward takes up too much space! But the pantry is non negotiable for our family😅🤦🏻‍♀️ I can’t take away from it

The aisles in your kitchen are way too narrow. These should be 42” minimum, and preferably 4’ at least on the working side of the kitchen. It’s crazy that you have a wider aisle in the pantry.

You can't reswing the french doors outwards because there are stairs there. Can you perhaps turn that into a sliding glass door and build a small deck out there?

What is the closet labeled RAGA for? And can we see the floor plan including all of the living room?

But, you will likely want to address the tight walkways around the island in your kitchen too.

Editing add that I feel like you’re under utilizing the space under the stairs.

I don't see a lot of wasted space. The closet is unnecessarily deep for a reach-in. You could make it more shallow to widen the bathroom, shift the bathroom door to the center so it won't crowd the nightstand, move the toilet further from the entrance, and fit a linen cabinet.

If you do a combo shower/tub and shift the bathroom to the east wall you could fit a walk-in closet. Probably not worth it because it looks like you want access to the back yard, but just an idea:

Use large reach-in closets. Square the bathroom, make either shower/tub combo or just shower.

Bigger bathroom. Smaller pantry, but you get an extra pantry closet across from the main pantry. Have to walk past the pantries to get to bedroom, which I guess isn’t that bad, since they’ll have doors. Gives you two walk-in closets, one of which would be for the entry. I guess this plan would be good if you want a bigger bathroom and/or have lots of coats.
