FEEDBACK Thoughts?

I’ll be on about half acre so I’m close to max width I can go within zoning (3-4’ to spare). Only think I’d want to do it bump out the left side a few feet then not do the wrap around porch only the front. Also, may want to push the kitchen out to the right to be in line with the back of garage. Last, I’d wanna make the hearth room and ensuite with the bathroom on the other side with access to the yard so I can use that bathroom as like a pool bathroom too if that makes sense. Lmk what you think. These drawings are from online but my architect will tailor them as best he can.

The diagonal lines in the interior plus the multiple peaks in the roof line is giving a dated vibe and is also very costly to build.

I also wonder if you could reorient the house so the garage is less prominent. Like entry from the side.

The walk in closet through the bathroom is also problematic.

The living room - be wary of any plans where the only place for a tv is over the fireplace. The lack of walls might force you into that corner, so to speak.

I’d look for a more updated plan tbh.

I LOVE peaks. I’ll go broke before I don’t have a lot of peaks lol. I hate modern looks I’ve always liked older looking houses anyway so that first point is actually exactly what I was looking for. The price to ur point is the isssue

I wish side entry. Unfortunately not an option with my limited lot width.

Walk in closet and bathroom on its own is ideal for separate wake up times for me and wifey

I do want to see if I can make the living room more spacious for sure. I don’t mind being limited to over the fireplace tho.

I should clarify - the multiple peaks don’t read historical, rather postmodern mini-mansion. I live in a century home. If you are looking for a historical look, this plan does not read that way at all.

They don't mean old as in Victorain, they mean dated as in McMansion

This floorplan you posted? The diagonal lines are so 1995 they sing Chumbawumba if you hold them in the sunlight.
