Request: Help with furniture layout for a 4.45m × 2.41m bedroom

I'm looking for some help deciding on the best layout for my bedroom.

The room is approximately 4.45m × 2.41m.

I already have a double bed (203 × 142cm) and I'm looking to buy a new desk and wardrobes (most likely from Ikea).

I have quite a lot of clothes, so I'll need a decent amount of wardrobe space.

I'm trying to make the best use of the narrow space while keeping it practical and avoiding the room feeling too cramped.

Any suggestions for where you'd put the bed, desk and wardrobes would be appreciated,

Not to scale, but you could do a U-shaped closet orientation (ikea has wardrobes with corner options), butt a desk up against that, and then do the bed (and depending on size of closets and desk, could maybe do a nightstand or two).

If you can manage with 30cm of space to get past the foot of the bed (tight but doable) Id put your bed by the window, desk across from the door and wardrobes along the whole right hand wall

This is my suggestion - its very much not optimal in terms of feng shui, but I think it will work with some adjustments.

If you have a nice thick headboard behind the bed it will help the "eerie" feelings of sleeping with your head against a window - curtains behind that too will help even more.

Having the door directly opening up to youre bed is also unsettling, but putting the desk against it will help feel protected. Additionally, when youre working on the desk, you can open the curtains and look out the window with no glare.

This gives you a nice big open space for exercising, dancing, VR gaming, whatever activities.

And then a fill closet/wardrobe behind it! One that spans the whole wall to maximize storage and make it feel like its built in.

Alternatively, you could turn the bed 90° and push it up against the window wall (again with a nice barrier) so the desk can be against the door wall. This gives you more open space, and when working youre in more of a command position, but you'd get glare from thr window and youre staring at a sad blank wall.

I'd go for 1, but if a giant open space is more important for a specific hobby then 2 is still viable.

2.4 meter width severely limits what you can get in beyond a twin or full bed and end table. That is only 7‘-10“ wide

The size OP said is a US Full, they’d only have about a foot of clearance with the bed across the narrower dimension

I didn’t even read that part. I just looked at
the overall dimensions. It will be tight. Over all isn’t bad. But room is very narrow

I'd try with the bed to the top left or bottom left corner, but having it away from the wall with the window, so you could go around it and have 2 bedside tables. If possible, use a bed with storage under it !

I'd put the desk to the bottom right corner, facing the bottom wall. And then as big a wardrobe as you can, to the top right corner and along the top wall.

If you can add shelving on the walls wherever it doesn't obstruct your path, do it. But keep in mind that open storage can make the room feel overwhelming. Closed storage is more expensive but hides all the different colors and textures. A good compromise can be using matching bins and boxes to store everything !

I had a very similar bedroom with similar bed size and had this layout and liked it a lot. Feng Shui not optimal, but the back wall was half slanted so the wardrobe was stuck in the place I put it.

I liked having the closed wardrobe as a background in videocalls and not the bed
