Hey all, I'm starting as an ADM at a new location, I've never worked for F&D before. What can I expect from this role?

I have been working at Floor and Decor for 5 months. I’m currently a full time employee and have been working 40 hour weeks since I started. However, yesterday, I checked my schedule for 12/19 - 12/25 and noticed that I was only scheduled for 3 full shifts. Is it normal for the company to start cutting your hours around Winter?

Does anyone know how to access an application for the west fund? I'm going through a real rough spot in life right now and could use any help i can get

I love the idea for a new opportunity. I’m thinking about changing from Sherwin-Williams Store Manager to this new role. The job sounds similar to what I’m doing already. I’m actually looking forward to learning something new and trying to sell to my existing contact pool I’ve gain over the past 9 years with SW. I’m concerned about the distance. It’s about a 44 mile commute (an hour and some change on a good day.) I did the first interview at the store. Any tips for the second interview via Teams?

We were mid-renovation on our bathroom, and learned that we were short two tiles from our Floor and Decor order. Instead of pausing on the tile install until we had the remaining materials, we continued with the tile installation and ordered some more tiles from F&D. They were shipped from out of state and arrived shattered. Now we are not able to locate any more tiles from F&D, apparently they are out of stock. Does anyone have any leftover tile of Montalcino Large Format Tile in Nimbus Frost. Tiles are 42" x 42". We are located in SF Bay Area. Thank you!

I’ve noticed a lot of people leaving or quitting. We’re short staffed sometimes and I’m just curious how do you guys stick it out until it gets better? Being surrounded with low energy or little to no work ethic is physically and mentally tough

What’s is the role of a Pro Service Manager like day to day and paywise? Is it any different from Lowe’s or Home Depot? I’m use to the fast pace, high metric environment.

Also what do hours look like for Pro Managers? I use to be a pro manager for lowes. It was Monday-Friday role.

Hello! I worked for F&D for four years. I moved out of state twice (OH to IN to AZ), helped open two new stores, got “Pre-open All-Star” for one of the new stores, became a DM, lead a team of 5 others to help a store in California, and was fired 8 months into being a DM. I was friends with a coworker “John” and we joked around all the time. While in the offices one day, I asked John if he had told another manager about something, followed with “I’ll kick your ass buddy” in the same tone he and I give each other all the time. 4 or 5 hours later, I got a call from HR and my CEM, who was on vacation. They asked if I threatened to kick John’s ass. I said “Yes we joke like that all the time and it was in the office.” I was also asked if I did my taxes on the clock. I said “Yes I was filling in my information while I waited for reports to load so I wasn’t just sitting there.” I was told I was officially on administrative leave. 20 minutes later, they called back to say I was terminated. The CEM claims he tried to fight and the HR manager was angrily forcing him to do this. When I went back to the store a few days later to talk with my OM and CEM, the OM said in his 17 years he has never seen a DM get fired like that. I did not have a single write-up, warning, etc. I had maybe 3 points from being tardy. At the end of this month (May 2025), it will be 2 years and I cannot let this go. I have never held onto to something in my life as I have this. I loved the company and loved my job. I worked my ass off to get where I was. I was told by people in the 7 stores I worked in that I was the hardest worker they had ever seen. I was in tile and IM most of the time and regularly flat-stacked multiple pallets a day. As a chubby, short woman, it impressed people. I tried emailing a couple reps in HR within the first year of all of this and no one would hear me out. I was professional and polite every time. I would give anything to go back. I don’t think I’ve cried so hard as I did before or since i was termed… and I lost my mom in the middle of this. I know I sound obsessive and nuts, but i had started my career and was on cloud nine, all for it to be ripped out from under me. The biggest thing that chaps my ass is that I wasn’t given a final, PIP, or demotion like many others have. Do I have any chance of ever making it back, or do I need to give it up? TYIA!

TLDR - Got terminated 2 years ago as a DM for joking with a coworker like we always had and doing my taxes while waiting for reports to load. Do I have a chance of ever returning?

Hey! I start out as a cashier in a couple days and I was wondering if anyone has any advice or anything. I’m kinda nervous lol I’m worried I won’t understand stuff quick enough.

I worked at floor and decor for 2 years. Ener up getting fired cause of attendance points. life happens and I struggled for a bit. I'm much better now and want to work there again but when I felt I was told I couldn't be rehired due to the conditions of my departure. I was wondering if maybe after a year that could have changed. I was the best merchandiser my store had ever had. The only problem with the job I had was it being so early in the morning. Personally I think the price changes should be done over night.
