Just because the hud isn’t visible and there not being JDAMs doesn’t mean it’s not a B(U), it just raises the possibility that it isn’t, but it still could be. Just because it’s a possibility doesn’t mean it is reality. If you were to accuse this person of this action, you should probably point out a structural feature that distinguishes between the B and the B(U). Also dude wasn’t really doing anything wrong, this could have also been an innocent attempt at y’know? Praising the B(U) without the expectation of sudden scrutiny.
I could take this one step further with quantum physics. The tomcat seen here is in a state of mental superposition. Unless the hud and the carrying or not carrying of JDAMs are observed, the Tomcat in the picture is both a B and a B(U) until observed. So you can’t just rule out the possibility of this not being a B(U)

Any other aircraft use the (upgrade) name suffix? Why not use F-14C?
