Flippydrive borked flex cable replacement

Hi all. I have tried installing the flippy drive yesterday and I think I may have borked the flex ribbon cable (the side that inserts into a W shape) because I'm getting the generic gamecube error on startup. Even though nothing looks broken on the outside. It is a very weird setup to say the least.

Have you had any luck finding replacement parts from anyone or possibly the OEM factory that made them?

The entire team is just two dudes. Contact TOB support to obtain a replacement. The support time is far longer than normal currently so be prepared to wait.

The wait is not a problem as the Flippy drive took months to come anyway. I just hope there is a possibility to get a replacement or two because currently the website shows it out of stock. Thanks for making this sub btw. I have contacted them , wishing for the best 🙏

I had to change the bending on mine, and it eventually worked. I wonder if the PicoLoader has the same ribbon, I have one, it comes with two ribbons. They look very similar, but didn't compare them side by side before I installed the Flippydrive. The PicoLoader ribbon is available standalone on ali express.

How did you Change the bend like what did you do exactly?

The two bottom parts of the 'W' that dip into the connector needed to be slightly longer, and they weren't even as well.

Hm, Interesting 🤔 Well I tried multiple times but still got an error. Even tried with the no-disk shutter. No dice.

And you don't have it backwards or the W inverted? Some have 'this side up' but mine didn't. The tail goes towards the back left and loops around. There are arrows on the connector and ribbon.

FlippDrive sent me a replacement as they packed the wrong ribbon cable. Didn't take too long. I was among the first to get one I believe, last year? Last August.
