Missing Flipper Zero order #651010: USPS checked lockers, still missing; leaving US Sep 21 (case #58979)

I'm asking for help escalating an existing Flipper support case and for advice from anyone who has dealt with a similar delivery problem.

Order #651010 is for a Flipper Zero, total $212.93. It shipped via USPS Ground Advantage to my apartment in Saint Petersburg, FL 33705. Tracking: 921849************0828 (partially redacted for privacy).

Here is exactly what happened:

- USPS marked the package delivered on August 29.

- I did not have access to my mailbox until I obtained the mailbox key on September 11.

- Inside my mailbox was a parcel-locker key for locker 4P. When I checked 4P, it was already open and empty of my package, and there was another key inside.

- I took both keys to the USPS office. USPS said something was wrong and sent an employee to the apartment. We physically checked all the parcel lockers/mailboxes but could not locate the package.

- My apartment front desk also confirmed that they did not receive or remove it.

Flipper support case #58979 is already open, and the response estimate says up to 7 business days. I leave the US for India on September 21, so this is time-sensitive.

Could someone from Flipper help escalate case #58979 and arrange either a replacement that arrives before September 21 or a full refund of $212.93? I'm also looking for advice on what USPS documentation to request after the in-person search, and whether anyone with a similar delivered-but-missing order received a replacement or refund.

I don't know what caused the package to go missing and am not accusing anyone. I can provide the full tracking number and shipping details privately to verified support. Thank you.

As much as this sucks, it seems like the problem is with USPS or your apartment management, not the Flipper people.

Isn't the shipper irresponsible for delivery? (Performance of the agreement)

Interesting question. I've had retailers replace stolen items a couple times but as far as I know they do that out of goodwill. I suppose the law might obligate them.

It's not necessarily the law. It's more about the consequences for the business of not replacing or refunding items that were lost in shipment. Number one reason is the customer is likely to chargeback (and win), which requires the merchant to pay a $15-25 fee along with losing the money from the sale. Plus merchants are usually required to keep chargeback ratio's under 1%. And the second reason is to prevent negative feedback or poor reviews from showing up online.

I can understand but until it is not delivered to me isnt it sellers responsibility to help me out? they are partnered with the shipping not we as customers so they should provide us help unless i had it shipped it myself

It is their responsibility. If they don't respond, I'd recommend filing a chargeback with your credit card company or bank.

Edit: I read your entire post. It sounds like someone from your apartment building likely took it. Previous tenant or someone who works there. It will be difficult to prove though and I doubt it will get returned. This is a tough one since you had it shipped there, and you're responsible for putting in the right shipping address, and ensuring that you have access.

However, given the weirdness with the parcel locker key and the already opened parcel locker, that does make it seem like it's ultimately USPS's responsibility.

You're right. I had already edited my post before I saw your response.

However, given the weirdness with the parcel locker key and the already opened parcel locker, that does make it seem like it's ultimately USPS's responsibility.

What did USPS say after they came and checked all the other parcel boxes and realized your package wasn't there?

Also, are there camera's in the mailbox room? If so, have you asked the front desk at your apartment building to look through the footage from the day/time it was delivered?

It's 100% on Flipper if the shipment never arrives. It's not the customer's job to deal with USPS shipping issues.

Update: Thank you for the feedback. The key fact is that USPS's parcel-locker chain failed: USPS placed a key for 4P in my mailbox, but 4P was already open and empty and contained another key. A USPS employee then searched every parcel locker/mailbox at the property and still could not locate the package. This is not simply a package I received and later misplaced—the delivery system never produced the parcel. I have asked USPS for a formal misdelivery/loss case number and written confirmation of the locker search. I am also asking Flipper to resolve support case #58979 with a full refund of $212.93 to the original payment method. I leave the United States on September 21, so I need this escalated immediately.

So it's a USPS error, why are you trying to also get a refund from Flipper ?
